Grant Program For Daycare Startups!

The Department of Social Services provides grants for the start-up of new or expansion of existing child care facilities. These funds, awarded through a competitive application process, primarily focus on programs serving children age birth to three. A new Request for Application for these competitive funds was released to the public for application on in 2007, and the deadline has already passed for submitting an application for these funds. The department will anticipate a release date of late March 2008 for the new Request for Application. Their website may be accessed for more information.
