Grants For Child Care StartUps!

The Department of Social Services provides grants for the start-up of new or expansion of existing child care facilities. These funds, awarded through a competitive application process, primarily focus on programs serving children age birth to three. A new Request for Application for these competitive funds was released to the public for application on March 30, 2007, and the deadline has already passed for submitting an application for these funds. We anticipate a release date of late March 2008 for the new Request for Application. Our website is accessible online.
